About Me
Hey there! :-D
The first impression I usually give people is that I'm friendly and nice and this never changes as they get to know me. When I'm with friends I care about their feelings and when I couchsurf I respect the host's schedule and space. So I should pass the first test to be your host or guest!
If we get to know each other -which I would love to do- you might find yourself clicking with me on tastes in art, attitude towards life, or silly humor. I love learning from people and I love sharing about my thoughts and feelings as well.
If you are not familiar with culture of the far east, you might find me not only like an open book but pages with things amusing to you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
What would be better than sharing at no price?
Yes I've been a student and I have to budget my travel. BUT I'm pretty sure that I would love to continue this lovely way of traveling and connecting with people/ places even if I had money and could spend more at ease. Couchsurfing's magic is irreplaceable.
I don't have much official reference from hosting or being a guest because for a while I was hosting with my ex-bf and he dealt with contacting people online. He was an ambassador of Taipei (The capital of Taiwan) and we had hosted many people together.
Apart from hosting with him, I was very active in all kinds of CS events in Taipei such as Monthly Free Market and hiking trips. I loved meeting people from other countries in Taiwan and showed them my way of enjoying the lovely island.
Now I'm leaving London and moving back to Taiwan. I've finished my MSc Globalisation and Development and an internship with a cool organisation called Giving What We Can. Unfortunately as I'm moving at the moment, I can't host, but I look forward to great experience as I couchsurf around!

Singing some random tunes, doing some silly dance moves, talking to myself… they don't sound like real interests?

Music, Movies, and Books
Please don't expect me to know much about Western music or movie or anything… haha. I'm really out of touch…
This is an example:
I knew Michael Jackson when he passed away because I happened to be right outside of the hospital where he died. I didn't really know him before his death.
But it does not mean that I don't have the ability to appreciate things… among a few things I know, I like Alt-J and Beirut. As for movies, I like Dancing in the Dark and some Wong Kar Wai's and Yang De Chang's work.
Books… hmm. I read a ton of textbooks as I grew up in Taiwanese education. I didn't really like any of them. Well, I generally enjoy reading books about social sciences.

Teach, Learn, Share
I guess from what I've rumbled above, you've already got an answer to this question. :)
Oh but there's a thing called Effective Altruism that I've been involved in, I'd particularly love to share my thoughts about it with you at the moment! :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
It depends on how much time we have and how much we get on with each other. I'd say I'm a good guest definitely, and I would love to be a good friend if it so happened!
