ABOUT ME

Hello, My name is Alicia and I grew up and live in Madrid. I studied Journalism but I work for a bank right now. Even though I always pictured myself as a Journalist and what I do is not related to it, I am quite happy with my current job (and I will not complain given the current situation in Spain). The people I love more are in Madrid and that is why I am here, but if I have the chance to travel I will definitively take it :)

PHILOSOPHY

Nothing very profound to say. I have met very inspiring people in my life and I have learnt more from them than from religion or books.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can host people only on the weekends, but not all weekends...(i am almost always away).
The appartment is outside the city center. There is a metro station, but it takes around 1 hour to reach Sol. Anyways, if you don't mind spending time on public transport, it is a save, family area not far from the airport (by car). If you want to google it, the neighbourhood is called "Las Tablas".
The other problem is that I don't usually live there and that is why I can't always offer accommodation and have not been and active hoster so far, but, pleae, feel free to write to me and ask.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined in 2010 when I suddenly decided to visit Rome as a solo traveler. There I met a really nice guy go show me the city and then I went to Ibiza where I met Manoj, who later hosted me in Dubai. He also visited us an stayed in Madrid for a few days. I am very glad that I had the opportinity of having such a great friend, despite living far and having diffent backgounds.

Interests

Number one is family and number two is traveling. I also like languages because they are the main communication tool, but unfortunately I am not good at them...Still, my English is enough to express myself and understand you.
I am taking up a new hobby: fotography. Let's see if I learn how to use my camera and don't get confused every time I see the 30 different icons on the menu.
Every few months I decide I need to do some exercise and thanks to my boyfriend's motivation we started jogging a few months ago. We invested on my new running shoes and we set a goal. For the first time in my life I am taking it seriously... Well, it might happend that when you write to me I would have changed jogging for something else. But I try.
Another interest: I like writing. I write too much as you can see (sorry :) ). I have to learn to summarize.
