I am 24 and I live in Palmer, Alaska with my husband, Mitch, and our small dog, Grimm. I am a college grad (International Studies Major, Creative Writing and History minors) and am currently a substitute teacher and Mitch just graduated May 2015 (English Major). After we come back from our trip we are moving to Fairbanks, Alaska. I will be getting a Master's degree at UAF in Arctic & Northern Studies: Environmental Policy.

We will be traveling as a pair, so this profile is for both of us.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My husband and I are planning on a 2 month trip to Europe in June/July 2015. I am recent graduate and he is still in college, so we want to be able to save money wherever possible! Right now we plan on visiting: Iceland, UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia, and Czech Republic.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

We both like to read science fiction and fantasy. (I love Harry Potter!)

We both love cartoons and animated films. (Adventure Time, Howl's Moving Castle, How to Train Your Dragon, etc) I like horror movies and documentaries. He likes crime themed stuff like Dexter and Dirty Harry.

Teach, Learn, Share

My friends and I like playing Magic: The Gathering (it's a card game) so we could teach you if you are interested or just share a game with you if you are already a player. Mitch knows about beekeeping and does it during the summer months. If anyone is interested in Alaska and if I have the time (and people can help pitch in for gas!) I would be happy to drive you around to show you the sights and share with you what I know about my home state.
