About Me

I'm very easy going and mellow. I'm into plants, books, yoga, holistic health, playing outdoors, the beach, exploring, street art, traveling, cooking, volunteer work and I love animals and working with children.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling around at the moment and would love to meet some cool people. One of my roommates hosted couchsurfers and it was a fun experience so I thought I would give it a shot!

Music, Movies, and Books

I could go on and on about books, but I'll try to limit myself. I love sci fi- Jeff Noon is one of my favorites along with Dan Simmon's Hyperion series. I'm in love with Tom Robbins. I've got a soft spot for the beats (Jack Kerouac), recently started reading John Fante and thoroughly enjoying him. Hubert Selby Jr is amazing and I love Dostoevsky.

I'm also a bit of a movie fanatic...I love Ralph Bakshi animation, Richard Linklater movies, Wes Anderson. I like anime as well such as Ninja Scroll and Akira. I'm always open to movie and book suggestions.

I've got a soft spot for old 50's/60's music, like The Drifters, The Ronettes, Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs. But I'm pretty diverse when it comes to music- I can go for bluegrass, chillstep, classic rock, folk, reggae, liquid drum and bass. It all depends on the mood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ah. There's been many things in my life that have been amazing. One of them was living in Sausalito on an 1860's steamship that had been the home of Alan Watts and Jean Varda. It was a pretty magical place to spend six years.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a beginner when it comes to herbal medicine, but I love to share what I do know. I also love to eat healthy and share any nutrition information that I can! And I'm open to learning so much, but I would really love to learn different languages- French and Spanish in particular. Any gardening, permaculture or natural building would be greatly appreciated as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I come from an Italian family so I love to cook for people (especially healthy meals!). I love animals and kids so I'm open to helping with any type of animal or child care! And if you have a garden, I'd love to get my hands dirty!
