About Me

Easygoing, open-minded person, positive-YOLO attitude.
Born in Lorca (Spain) and lived there until 18 years old when I moved to Cardiff to study translation.
Spent 10 months in Lyon (France), doing a year abroad as part of my degree. I took advantage of that amazing year to travel as much as I could around Europe.
After finishing my undergrad, I moved to London to specialize in audiovisual translation and now I'm working as a project manager.
I love languages, people and cultures, but MY REAL PASSION is traveling.
Meeting new people, locals from the places I visit, discover the hidden gems of every place I visit. The cities, the villages, the nature: mountains, beaches, lakes, rivers, valleys.
Hitchhiking, roadtrips, camping, waking up with the sunrise after a long night with deep conversations about life. THIS IS WHAT GIVE ME LIFE.
I try to give back what I offer and, more, if possible. SHARING IS CARING. Offer what you want to find but do not offer expecting the same.
Hospitality, and making everyone's trip (including the host's) as easy, and comfortable, and enjoyable, as possible :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A good, real traveler will know Couchsurfing, or at least will spread the word and tell those traveler that do not know about it, to try this amazing social media world.
Couchsurfing teaches you how to appreciate the traveling community and how we help each other to travel and explore more at an affordable price.
In this community, everyone help each other. You learn about places, people and experiences that you cannot find on the internet (and wow, how difficult is it to not find something on the internet).
Meeting local people when you go somewhere is definitely the best option to really know the place you're visiting. Locals offer the real experiences of traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Of music I like many kinds, but since I moved to London I've really techno obsessed haha. You can still share jazz, pop, rock, indie, reggae and electronic music with me. I love concerts, festivals, and dancing.
I get crazy when I go out with my friends (good kind of crazy haha), we usually are the best dancers in the club.
I’m obsessed with books, films, art and meditation. In the cities I can spend my days in museums and in the mountains I can chill and meditate until the night.
Reflecting about life and where we are going.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling on my own is still a big challenge for me. My first travel solo was Ireland, with CS!!! The last one solo I did was to Capadoccia, in Turkey, also with Couchsurfing. A real self-learning and developing experience that clicked in my and changed my perspectives in the world.

I have done an interrail around Europe, which left me fascinated, sleeping on trains, discovering the European cities and bonding with my friends from home during almost 4 weeks.

I did a roadtrip with my friends starting in Slovenia. We went to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania and Croatia. We camped in natural spaces that we were finding in our path, next to rivers, lakes and the Croatian coast. We lived in the real nature, we cooked our own food, hung out with the fishermen that came to the river to fish, made friends with the locals of small villages with the most basic English language possible, and experienced other extreme adventures that shocked me at the time and made learn a lot.
It was one of the most relaxing and mindfulness trip of my life.

Lastly, no words for Ecuador and India last year. In both trips Couchsurfing really made the difference and impacted in a way that made the trips really special. I will only be in love with those countries because of the hospitality we received with (and also without) Couchsurfing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my life experience, but I assure you that I will absorb everything that you share with me and can serve as lesson for life.
