About Me

CURRENT MISSION

View all things as an adventure.
Soak it all in.

ABOUT ME

Currently I'm taking a year off getting my undergrad in envrionmental science. My husband Stephen and I are taking the year to travel around South America with our backpacks. We are planning on using WWOOF and Workaway to learn more about permaculture farming on a small scale. We try to do our part to live sustainably.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy the journey. Be curious. Be kind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, right now my living situation is no good for hosting, but I plan on doing so when I move into a new place in the future. However, I would be up for meeting you!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed some in the southwest US and in northern Italy. I think it's a wonderful way to meet people and get the local experience of a place.

Interests

A little of lots of things. Good music, especially live. I absolutely love to be outside. I would include "mountains" as an interest as well as "water". I like the simple things in life, like having a cup of tea on the porch and going for walks with my dog Freida. I also like being ridiculous. I like to eat well and live consciously of the natural wonderland we are blessed to live in.

In addition to these things, I have a strong interest in restorative agriculture and sustainable living, hence my studies :) I love to learn about gardening, raising animals, composting techniques, vermiculture, permaculture, food preservation etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a good story and tune.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Experienced the eruption of Tungurahua in Ecuador- pre-erruption tremors, ash and seeing the lava at night, t'was profound to me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn You could quiz me on random trivia facts, I sometimes know the most random things. I'd love to help you set up a worm bin if that's your interest or maybe we could make homemade yogurt or kombucha together. I could also help be a resource for chicken raising info.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, France, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Spain
