About Me
Hello! My name's Alicja. I'm Polish student of economics (currently on Erasmus in Toulouse, France).
My passion is traveling by bike. It's fantastic way to get to know the world because we're close to nature, we can admire views and still we're able to cover some long distances. Generally, I'm an active person and I'm keen on rollerblading, running, hiking the mountains, skiing. Of course, sometimes I like just lying on a sofa, watching Netflix and drinking good tea :) I like also playing ukulele and playing board games with my friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm curious about the world, I would like to meet new people, visit new places and experience new things!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2018, I was on a 6-weeks cycling trip through Skandynavia with my friend. We were only two girls, we slept in a tent (mostly wildcamping), washed in lakes, cooked on our own. We did more than 2,000 km by bike! We experienced many new things but the most crazy one was trying freeganism. It consists in eating what you find in trash. It may sound disgusting but we managed to find many packaged food products, fruits, even bread or eggs in a perfectly good shape, just having been thrown away by a supermarket because of an expiry date. It was at the same time amazing and terrifying experience because it made us realize how much food is being wasted all the time...
