Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
It's about life, it's about love, it's about time travel.
ABOUT ME
I am a city person who loves nature, a perma-student and a traveler. I enjoy being outdoors when its sunny, dinner parties, live music, free food, microbreweries, biking, and baseball. I will go out of my way to pet a dog or puppy on the street and I also love meeting new people. I like to sing and dance, although I'm not very good at either. For the most part, I believe almost everything is worth trying at least once.
PHILOSOPHY
The people you are with are more important than what you do. Experiences are better than objects. Passion and empathy are the two greatest qualities a person can have.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far, I have surfed on several couches and met many couchsurfers. I would like to participate in couchsurfing events and when I get my own couch, I would like to host other surfers too.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had my first experience with Couchsurfing a couple weeks ago and it was amazing. My best friend and I traveled around Mexico and stayed with several couchsurfers there. Everyone was so friendly and hospitable and fun, they made our trip such a great experience!
Interests
I am interested in medicine, especially global health. I also follow major league baseball and enjoy going to concerts.

Music, Movies, and Books
I appreciate all music except modern country. I don't watch a lot of movies, but typically enjoy the ones that are a little confusing and leave you wondering and thinking for a while after you watch them. My favorite books include Crime and Punishment, The Catcher in the Rye, The House of Spirits, The Golden Compass, Song of Ice and Fire, and many others that I can't remember at this moment.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in Costa Rica for a few months and became very interested in bird watching for a little while. There are so many beautiful birds in CR and I enjoyed waking up early to try to spot them in the mornings. Every morning I would always look out for the Resplendent Quetzal, the famed bird with long green tail feathers that the Mayans included in their legends. I had no luck sighting this bird for months but on my last day in Costa Rica, I saw a queztal perched on a nearby branch in the cloud forest of Monteverde. It was more beautiful than any of the pictures I had seen.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach- I can teach you how to throw and hit a softball. I also can tell you a lot of random facts about molecular biology or bird ecology that I still remember from college.
Learn- I would love to continue learning Spanish.
Share- We could share dinner together. I like cooking and eating with people, or when at a restaurant, I like pairing up with another person, each ordering different things on the menu and sharing both so that way we both get to try more things.
