Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We have hosted surfers in the past, at our last place. We don't have a couch at the moment, but like to meet travelers. We might be surfing a couch or two ourselves soon in the US of A.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Alida: I've couch surfed unofficially, staying with friends of friends and people I've met along the way as well as with people I've already known in the interesting places they're now living. Osaka, Paris, Amsterdam, maidenhead...my most couchsurf-like stays. I've also hosted friends of friends, friends of family, family of friends etc etc. Plus rescuing Sam, who i met in Paris from sleeping in a hammock in a park on a cold Dunedin night here in NZ.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
every sunrise/set here is pretty damn nice. rural traffic jams, the local school bus trying to make it up the hill, the stars reflected on the flat water of the inlet at high tide, finding Sam camped right under my window in a park in town when he had no idea where in Dunedin i lived, the Otago harbor all filled up with cloud and fog pouring in to it over the hills.

learning about food and gardening, interested in learning how to make just about anything from scratch, sewing.... all sorts.Oh and languages, we all speak English, i speak dutch fairly well and we are interested in learning more and others...
