PHILOSOPHY

"en todo amar y servir" is already a good part of what my personal philosophy could look like... the idea of an interconnectedness between everybody and everything carries my daily life too.
And the idea of a motor that can help us going into the direction of 'to love and to be loved' - as the goal of life - or to go in the opposite way helps me too. Find the fuel for this motor: what gives energy, what opens up to others, to God (or what is beyond myself), to myself in the good sense, ... to take that as a lifegiving indicator is somehow my philosophy, the way I try to live life.. and of course most of the time I don't arrive but as long as the desire is there a part is already being realized.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

let me be inspired by travel stories of other people, get ideas for a trip I'm planning with my boyfriend, propose to give introduction in Dutch or French language.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was hosted by people I know that host also couchsurfers and have heard about their stories.
But so far that is the only couchsurfing experience! So open to learn more :).
My mind is almost exploding of couchsurfing ideas, they are almost automatically coming to real... but for so far I only proposed to give introduction to Dutch language and to give a help in learning the language or with homework, exams, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

so much different influences... to frame here is to small the possibilities of enjoying so much of music, voices, arts, ... and as my mind is rather capturing atmosphere as names, it is difficult to list. but to take some: from Gouze and very old religious songs to funk, gipsy to meditative taizéprayer songs, poprock such as U2, the levelers or accoustic folkmuziek such as naragonia, jazz, classical music, opera, ... :D . Unfortunately as I said I find it difficult to list in names or titles as I don't remember these things easily. Books: I've loved reading in Dutch about spiritual wisdom: Anselm Grün, A walk to Jerusalem by Sebastien De fooz,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-learning to see in e v e r y t h i n g a sparkle of what is beyond us,learn to love everything...
-retreat in a monastery surrounded by woods and going for daylong walks in these woods meditating nature (and not becoming a weirdo thinking I'm flying or sth like that).
-sensing in an overwhelming way the infinite ways to relate to people "with handicaps"

Teach, Learn, Share

I think I might be able to share with people some of these valuable things:
-music: singing, reading notes, playing the piano, guitar chords.
-language:Dutch and French.
-finding rituals that make it more easy to relate to people, also in case of interpersonal conflicts, that make it more easy to be thankful for what is around us
- I want to learn GREEK, Arabic, Spanish

What I Can Share with Hosts

Annelies can teach you some songs, some folkdances. Arno can teach you languages (he is a translator, is crazy about languages and speaks Polish French and Dutch fluenly. He holds also a degree in Italian and speaks English fluently, Spanish and German quite easily).
