About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To remember the best things in life...... are not things : )

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy going person who believes that life really is what you make it. If you smile and aim to bring out the best in others, it so often comes back to you .As our character reflects where we've been and what we've been up too, here's a little of me.... I've thoroughly travelled all around Australia and have lived in all our capital cities; and many of it's rural towns. I've visited some awesome overseas destinations including New Zealand, Europe, the Caribbean, India, New York, Asia and the Pacific Islands. My jobs have been varied, while studying and travelling I've worked in a load of different Cafe's and bars. Was a tour guide on Kangaroo Island, worked at a backpackers for 2 years in Perth, worked in Radio, audio mixing for live bands, did 3 seasons working the Australian and NZ snow fields, plus jobs in the Whitsunday Islands and the Gold Coast. I spent 10 years as a youth worker, are a trained residential draftsman and now run a Cafe.... whew! and I'm only 1/2 way on the joureny ; )

PHILOSOPHY

How we treat one another is the real barter and exchange in life, it carries more weight than money or possessions.

Life really is what you make it...
A simplistic statement i know, but!... most of us have the ability to choose who we hangout with and where we place ourselves....and these 2 things so shape who we are and what fills up our time, our life... : )
Below is a good 30sec ad/film clip I came across, it was used in an Australian tourism campaign and aims to inspire people to take time to remember this:

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all types of music, live acoustic is my choice. Love a good suspense drama movie and a book which inspires me to be my better self : )

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Scuba diving the Madang coastline, Papua New Guinea. It was a sensory overload of marine life, endless visibility and underwater sights I will never forget.
(gotta share one more)
- Helicopter ride into an extinct volcano on the wilderness Hawaiian Island Kauai, it's internal walls were amass of waterfalls and rainforest.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you want to stay beyond a night or 2, you can participate in "woofing" work in our family cafe for a number of hours to cover the cost of all your food and accommodation. If this appeals to you, I am happy to discuss this further.
