About Me

Summer 2022
Travelling to Sardinia and Italy I really want to practice my Italian! I can help you in the house
I am not afraid of Covid because I am healthy but I am careful anyway and get tested often.
Although I was a verified CS member for several years I am choosing to no longer be. I think the CS management now is very different than what it used to be and much more geared towards money making than it was, I don't necessarily agree with that. Although I contributed several months to help CS survive during Covid they still did not get me a verified status in return. A sign that they don’t really appreciate the hand that feeds them.
All that said it is still a great platform for hosts and travelers to help each other

CURRENT MISSION
To improve community in the world, make new contacts, exchange ideas. Recent changes in my life make it so that I currently don't have a permanent home to host.

ABOUT ME

I was born in France and always had the travel bug. Each year my parents took us to Italy on vacation, I have a special fascination for Italy and think I might live there someday. I spent over 20 years in Colorado and moved to Hawai'i on the Big Island 14 years ago.
I love to meet and talk to new people although I like also peace and quiet and not talk to anyone for periods of time. It is like a meditation.
I like for people to respect my sleep and I respect the sleep of others. I usually tippytoe in the house if someone sleeps.
I also do not care for smokers so please do not ask to be hosted if you smoke.
Ditto for heavy perfumes, deodorants.... if you use them don't ask me to host you, I am allergic to chemically scented stuff, sorry... but that stuff is toxic for you too anyway!

PHILOSOPHY

We are all One on this planet. Peace. Respect others. Be kind.
Always helping someone if I can but I also am being alert to people who always feed on others and don't ever give anything back.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had my own house in Hawai'i and hosted many a surfer there. Everybody loved to have their own private bedroom and enjoyed the company of my wonderful dog.
Unfortunately, my beloved Mahina died in May 2015. I was crushed and cried everyday for months. She was so special and her Soul lives on. Someday she will bring on to me another dog but for now I am going to take advantage of the freedom she gave me and travel. Anchor released!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Although I was a verified CS member for several years I am choosing to no longer be. I think the CS management now is very different than what it was at the beginning
A fantastic experience in India. Overall it takes time for people to connect on here. Be patient.
Most people have been very nice.
Had some really sweet guests and fantastic hosts.
Australia was amazing and I had some really wonderful hosts there in 2016

Interests

Life is so interesting and not enough time to discover it all... One of my passion is photography. Sailing is another. And being able to practice aerial dance is at the top of my list. I love music, art, reading, writing, handwriting analysis study (fascinating), yoga, meditation, biking, hiking, rollerblading, motorcycles, horses, swimming, beachtime, beautiful landscapes, volcanoes, connection to the earth, gardening, growing food, environmental projects, soul searching, soul retrieval, shamanism, personal transformation, volunteering for others who are less fortunate than I am, as well as volunteering for good causes in the world, creating new things, cooking, natural food and holistic health, acupuncture, raw food, solar power, architecture, design... I could go on
I basically love Life!
Lately I have gotten closer to special centers of interests revolving around the environment and climate change and how to change the course of climate change and reverse human damage inflicted on the planet.
Lately I feel like I need to reduce my centers of interests and focus more deeply on less.
Less is More.
Lots to talk about!
