About Me

ABOUT ME

I’m an open, social, cheerful and down-to-earth person that enjoys good wines, great food and interesting conversations. I love my bike (as a true Dutch cloggy) and if the moment allows it, I’m always up for something fun!

PHILOSOPHY

Wisdom begins in wonder. Love life and laugh about its craziness.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy many different styles and themes when it comes to books, music and movies, but here are a few keywords: Mumford and Sons, Nina Simone, Motown, Michael Kiwanuka, Salsa, Cigala & Bebo, Cesaria Evora, Fatoumata Diawara, Edith Piaf, Alt-J, Olafur Arnalds, Pearl Jam, Jack Johnson, Ray LaMontagne, Arabic music, classical music, The Big Lebowski, everything from Quentin Tarantino, documentaries, Collapse (Jared Diamond), art and philosophical books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Petra in Jordan, mountains in Nepal, the mosque, souk and stars in Syria, visiting Esfahan in Iran.

Teach, Learn, Share

Some things I can share and teach: I’ve started taking piano lessons myself quite recently, so I’m not advanced in this area but for whomever is interested, I can definitely show you the basics. I personally love to cook, so perhaps I can transfer some of those skills – or at least some recipes! For everyone who wants to learn some dance moves: I also enjoy occasionally going to salsa parties and I’m taking lessons. If you’re good at either of these things, I’m excited to enhance my skills and learn more from you! In general I’m always interested in people’s experiences and their outlook on life to learn from. So looking forward to sharing a cup of tea and thoughts with you!
