About Me

I'm a student of life who spends most of my time exploring this incredible world inside and out. I like to sing: jazz, blues, re-imaginings of all types, dance my heart out, look at and create beautiful spaces, live in vans, trucks, any automobiles really. I like bass music and the culture which flourishes around it. I also love folk, rap, world and ethnic.
I like to read books, fiction, poetry, psychology and western and eastern philosophy mostly.
By my good friend: Ali is a modern day gypsy extraordinaire. When she is not at home hanging out with her friends, she is on a road trip to meet her other friends. Friends, who are always happy to see her.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Through this site I've had the privilege of hosting and being hosted. So amongst those experiences I've hosted a French-Canadian couple who explored Vancouver island from our basement and shared with me their delicious home made apple juice.
I've spent a week in the Costa Rican jungle at a commune with a giant disco ball.
It's these weird and wonderful chance encounters with others who I might otherwise not have the chance to connect with.

Interests

Circus, acrobatics, acro yoga, Hatha yoga, mysticism, ukelele, art, photography, books, ideas, kindness as a a way of being, modifying clothing, drawing, collecting lanterns and birdcages.

Music, Movies, and Books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling for almost five years straight. In that time I rode tuktuks in rice fields of Vietnam, lived in Guatemala on the lake Aldous Huxley called the most beautiful in the world, lived alone with the cactuses and the stars out of a little white truck in the desert of Arizona, shone bright at Burning Man, visited over 10 countries and fell in love!

Teach, Learn, Share

So much. Life is a constant school at who's lessons I'm constantly humbled.
Officially I can teach you yoga, how to cook delicious amazing foods, how to forage for edibles in many different climates, gymnastics, singing lessons, and how to write in Japanese.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Music, stories, photographs, giggles, often herbs or strange foreign foods I've picked like cacao or bee pollen, yoga classes, ideas, and food!
