About Me
ABOUT ME
I was born on an air force base in New Mexico, grew up in a small town in coastal Mississippi, and chose to live my adult life studying and working in New York. I gave up my job and apartment in Brooklyn to knock about Latin America in order to learn Spanish, take pictures, learn about other cultures, and generally do something new with my life.
I'm gonna stop here, partially, because I'm terrible with open ended questions, and also because filling in the blanks is what interpersonal communication is for.
PHILOSOPHY
I think this Anais Nin quote, like many Anais Nin quotes, is one to live by (although I can't say I always do): “Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage.”
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm a newbie, so TBD.
Interests
I like animals, photography, music, fashion, travel- fairly generic crap, but while I'm traveling, I do want to try my hand at surfing and scuba diving.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like Gone with the Wind, a number of Pixar offerings, although I probably watch more TV series than movies these days. My musical interests range from Bjork to Britney Spears with points in between. I like the Calvin and Hobbes complete collection, The Song of Solomon, and The House of Mirth. Basically, I like many things from many genres, but I'm going to do us all a favor only list a few.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Doing a rhino walk in Swaziland and getting to sit with rhinos like we were close personal friends was truly amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can probably teach you to win most of the time in Connect 4 or Words with Friends. I can pass on great organizational skills and some very low level computer skills. My Spanish is terrible, so I could use help with that from anyone patient enough to listen to me butcher the language. In addition, anyone who wants to help or inspire me to be a better photographer is much appreciated!
