Overview
About Me
I am a 29 year old California girl, born and raised. I never traveled a lot when I was younger because I did not have the money but now that my career is starting to take off I am finally able to accomplish one of my lifelong goals: to see the world! I have had an active account for a while in the hopes that one day I would get to go couchsurfing and experience travel from a more personal perspective of any local who is willing to have me :) I have done some traveling now from India, Vietnam, many European countries, and still looking to widen my horizons.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To gain new friends and experiences that immerse me in the culture of wherever I stay. I like to travel on my own so it is a great way to meet people and experience things I might not have found on my own. Of course, I would love to contribute my own insight and perspective!
Interests
Though I like to be busy, outside of work I spend my time working on my own personal development projects. From learning a new programming language to learning a new spoken language, I love learning so a lot of my hobbies involved learning! I like to read, listen to podcasts, and write. Some of the recreational activities I enjoy are hiking, swimming, snowboarding, tennis and running.

Music, Movies, and Books
My musical taste goes through phases: for a stretch of years I went through a Classic Rock stage(I can probably still tell you the band just from hearing the song!) to Acoustic Rock to Punk to Hip-Hop/Rap and now it lies somewhere between Hip-Hop and Jazz but I won't get too technical...I like variety is what I am saying! Movies, almost the same but, my all time favorite movie that I never get tired of watching is Fight Club...I mean come on Brad Pitt? What is not to love. I don't know what it is, I have tried getting into the classics but nothing seems to grab me though. Too hard to choose a favorite book but I do tend to gravitate toward fantasy novels and adventure novels..
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a decent amount about programming although I am not sure if that is a skill I would be able to pass along in a short visit! haha I can definitely teach you about genetics and biology if that has ever sparked your interest though! I would definitely love to learn more languages, I grew up around Spanish but, as I did not really speak it all the time it has definitely gotten rusty but I have started relearning it and I am planning to do some immersion soon.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I think I am a decent cook and now that I have some world experience I can bake up some goodies, share some Swedish, American or Mexican food recipes :)
