About Me
Hey couchsurfers! My name is Alina and I’m a 24 year old Australian with a love of travel and the outdoors. I grew up in the beautiful island state of Tasmania, off Australia’s southeast coast. 🌏
Currently I’m working on the northeast coast as a wilderness guide. I love my work because I get to meet so many interesting people sharing this special place and facilitating meaningful connections. It’s always rewarding seeing guests finish a trip with a new appreciation and respect for the natural environment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I see Couchsurfing as an opportunity to experience places and cultures from local perspectives, and that’s something I think is pretty special.
I’m also looking forward to hosting people and sharing my home when I finish my travels!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music. So many memorable times in my life have involved or revolved around music. It’s a pretty amazing thing to share, whether listening or playing together.
I really enjoy reading about the amazing world we live in, particularly about people’s adventures, experiences and lessons learned. Occasionally I do love to sit down and watch a great film too!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Life’s full of amazing things! Something that comes to mind from my recent travels in northern Vietnam was when I decided to hire a motorbike and ride from Hanoi to Sa Pa and Hà Giang over seven days. The trip didn’t turn out quite as I’d expected but I had an incredibly challenging and memorable time on the road.
Teach, Learn, Share
Some of my favourite things to share are good food, conversation, music, and stories. If you want to learn about Tasmania and Australia, or practice your English I can definitely help! I’m looking forward to practicing my Spanish, and hopefully learning some Italian as I travel through Spain and Italy.
