I am 25 years old and a nature and science lover. I`m currently doing a PhD in Biochemistry in the Chemistry Department at Basel University. I grew up in the East of Germany and moved to Northern Germany for my undergraduate at a small international and English-speaking university. Students from 110 different nations studied there and thus my friends come from all around the globe. For internships I moved to Southern Germany, Cambridge and Singapore for a couple of months. After my Bachelors I moved to Cambridge for an MPhil and then worked in the Max-Planck-Society for eleven months. I really like to talk about my work but I very much enjoy talking about other things than science as well. I have always been very engaged in social activities and welfare so I did a political voluntary service after high school and worked with refugees and foreigners in Germany. I also served in several representative positions in university politics.

The most important "hobbies" for me are being outdoors and traveling and singing. I traveled many different places and I love to meet people from other cultures and backgrounds and I currently sing in two choirs.

I really like to bake. For sports I do swimming, go running and I was rowing for my college team in Cambridge for two terms. I also cycle a lot and almost anywhere.

My new hobby is crafting miniatures or jewelry with fimo polymer clay.

Musica, film e libri

I kind of like many types of music. I have been to the Hurricane festival twice and will go again this year. The band I always liked the most is Billy Talent. I have been singing in many different choirs so I like to listen to choir music and a-capella groups like Pentatonix and the Kings College Choir in Cambridge. I also like classic music and musical soundtracks.
Besides that I enjoy listening to the Fray, the Wombats, Keane, Ed Sheeran, Paramore, Sum41, Blink 182, Celine Dion, the Beatles etc..

Most of my greatest experiences happened while travelling to different countries and seeing what things might be "normal" in other countries, try new food etc.

I can and would like to share my experiences from different cultures and countries. I would like to explore new places and go outside to see the nature surrounding the places I visit. Also we could cook and bake together or make music.
