Hello guys!
It's me, Alina and my friend Julia. We're 19 years old and from Germany (Nuernberg). Last year, in June, we finished our exams and now both of us have time to travel around the world. Julia spent eight months living in Australia. For five months she worked as an Au pair in Perth, the remaining three months were spent working and travelling. She used the time to learn about the lifestyle and the culture of Australians.
While Julia was travelling Australia I was -and still am- living with a wonderful family in Paraguay. Here, I work in a school caring for young children. My tasks, however, include more than just caring for them. I play games with them, that help the children learn and solve problems. Well, that was just a short introduction what our past few months look like. In general Julia and I are two openminded girls who are interested in seeing and experiencing the world. Experience for us doesn't mean just spending a few days in a hotel, lay at the beach or go shopping. No, we want to “learn“ the culture of a country. That means for us talking to people who live there, have a view in the special food, the way the people live (where and how, what are their habitats?). We want to see and experience for tourists "invisible" places. We thought, the best opportunity for us to make our itinerary as unforgetable as possible, with knowing the culture and the way the people live just a little bit better, is through couch surfing. That's why we're here and we're very lucky to have the possibility in using couch surfing and maybe we meet YOU one day and we'll have a great time together, in which you'll let us be part of your life for a few days! It's gonna be awesome! We're looking forward to hear from you!

Yo -me llama Julia- y mi amiga Alina tenemos 19 años y somos de alemania (Nürnberg). En junio el año pasado hemos terminado el colegio y ahora tenemos el tiempo viajar por el mundo. Yo me quedé 8 meses en australia - mientras Alina esta viviendo en Paraguay por un año..
Bueno - somos dos chicas las que quieren explorar el mundo para aprender mas de otras culturas, maneras de vivir, comer y pensar. Significa que para nosotros viajar no es pasar el tiempo en el hotel o solamente tomando sol en la playa - en realidad
queremos visitar lugares desconocidos, encontrarnos y hablar con personas las que viven ahi, conocer la comida tipical etc.
Escuchando de CouchSurving creemos que es una idea genial para llegar a estas metas. Por eso estamos muy feliz tener este oportunidad y tal vez encontrarnos contigo! Esperando a escuchar de ti agradecemos ya de antemano!
