Greetings and salutations! My name is Alina and I am a Cinema major at San Francisco State University. Recently however, I began to lose focus in school. Now I am giving myself much needed time to explore new interests and travel. I enjoy the adventures that coming along with meeting new people and love living a spontaneous and serendipitous life. Alongside learning new points of view, I'm a very open minded relaxed individual who wants to share stories, ideas, and make a new friend. Mainly just looking to spread love and get inspired while exploring wherever the universe takes me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I stumbled upon this because I'm a broke college student looking for easier ways to travel. As a surfer, I will always be respectful, clean and appreciative of other people's homes. I can be very independent and don't mind touring on my own, but I'd also love some company or tips on great places to visit. Of course I'll return the favour should you ever visit my wonderful city!

Interests

I love finding new music, shows, and movies to share with friends. I also love biking, swimming, hiking, long walks, and trying new foods. I'll never turn down a concert and I can dance pretty decently. I'm also interested in activism, wildlife conservation, and equality. Always up for a good debate and love learning from others.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste changes often (thanks Soundcloud) but it mostly revolves around indie, folk, electronic, alternative, and rap. More specifically my favorites are The Black Keys, Lana Del Rey, Grimes, Flume, J Cole, Grouplove, Passenger, Hozier, Lorde, Broods, Stromae, Marina and the Diamonds, Sam Smith, Jhene Aiko, and many more!

Movies include Fight Club, Heathers, Across the Universe, Mean Girls, Inglorious Bastards, and anything with Leonardo DiCaprio or James Franco. I also love a bunch of documentaries and indie films you've probably never heard of but seen on Netflix.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to France alone at 16 to visit my friend and make a documentary of our story of foreign exchange and becoming best friends. It is still a work in progress. I also managed to make my school magazine from being boring and unread to a pretty successful fun piece of literature I could you show you online sometime.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach- Can only teach you what I know of knowledge, ideas, and awesome youtube videos. Still yet to require any crazy set of skills. Only thing I can think of is I might be able to help you edit/film videos or garden a bit!

Learn- I need to learn anything and everything you can teach me about music, cooking, and baking! :) Or anything else you can teach! I'm a super curious person.
