Hi! My name is Alina, I’m a proud Belarusian girl currently living and studying in Prague, Czech Republic. I study medicine which basically means I have no free time but somehow I manage to travel:D I love traveling and meeting new people, but I also love my home routine- reading books on a couch with a cup of tea, taking care of my plants, cooking comforting meals. As I mentioned before I have 2 homes-Minsk and Prague and I love both of them equally❤️ I guess my whole life is about trying to find balance-between extroverted and introverted parts of my personality, between being independent and maintaining good relationships with friends/partner, between safety/stability and inner call for adventures and travels and of course between these two homes of mine.
When I don’t study nor travel I usually spend time in some coffeeshop reading book or meeting with friendship. I also attend pottery classes and take some film photos sometimes:) I used to be obsessed with film photography but now I just do it while traveling or when I have special inspiration for it :) I’m also very passionate about science and medicine, but science 90% of my friends are from this branch and we talk about medicine all the time when we see each other, I’m always happy to meet someone outside of medicine to see different perspective :)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I used to travel a lot with a friend of mine and we used Couchsurfing a lot during our travels. That’s how I got introduced to this amazing community and even became a part of it. So I feel like it’s high time I started to contribute to this community myself by hosting/meeting with couchsurfers in Prague and of course explore the world through Couchsurfing!❤️

We’ll, of course I love traveling, otherwise I wouldn’t be here:D Generally speaking, I like to spend time in nature, walking in the forest, picking berries&mushrooms, hiking in the mountains, swimming in the sea/lake/river, kayaking, running, riding a bike, just moving! It gives me so much joy and positive energy❤️
Then, of course, good coffee! I like to brew my coffee at home, it’s kind of a morning meditation for me, but at the same time I always get excited about visiting a new coffee place and trying new kind of specialty coffee! Maybe I’ll open my own coffeeshop once❤️

I mostly listen to some indie bands like Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Jungle, the XX, Florence and the machine etc. But I also love jazz and would never say no to a good techno rave 🙃

Dancing salsa with a Spanish dancer on a beach in Barcelona at midnight! He picked me out of crowd and made me dance like I never did!💃🏻

I used to work as a cook and sharing traditional recipes of my (East European) cuisine and learn how to cook local food is my favorite thing to do while staying/meeting through CS! Food connects people❤️
