About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Recently moved and starting a new chapter of my life!

ABOUT ME

While San Diego, California is home, I recently moved to Istanbul, Turkey and am enjoying it. I am in my early 50s, single, well educated, friendly and well travelled (50+ countries). I love exploring the world and enjoy meeting / hosting other interesting and open-minded travelers at my house. My favorite activities include hiking, watching and discussing movies, reading and writing, enjoying a relaxing massage, and having good food and good conversations. I am a neat and organized person and am open to meeting others for a cup of tea or a nice meal. Rumor has it, I am a talented chef too! :)

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy is quite simple: I try to do good, be kind, and expect the best in return! It’s working for me :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I meet and host other travelers and try to help them see and enjoy San Diego. I also welcome the opportunity of practicing the languages that I know, and helping others with the ones that I can comfortably speak.....I also seek to make new friends within the San Diego area to expand my network.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have enjoyed meeting & hosting a few CS members, and look forward to meeting, hosting and staying with more members in the near future.

Interests

Music and singing, cooking and eating, traveling and seeing the world, making new friends and conversing with them, having fun and laughing, and doing Yoga and meditation, and above all, a good massage!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I nearly cried when I saw Christ the Redeemer for the first time in Rio de Janeiro, it really is amazing!

I smiled very wide when I reached the top of Table Mount in Cape Town, South Africa. It's an incredibly beautiful place!

I nearly freaked out when we got lost in the dessert in Oman outside Muscat. It looked pretty bleak!
