About Me

**currently staying in Portugal for a few months.

Brazilian national living in London for the past 13 years. I grew up in a little paradise place called Chapada Diamantina. My professional background is in food technology but I currently work in the ethical and organic foods sector, although I am in the process of setting up an ethical business.

I love the natural world, people and learning. Everyone you meet will plant a little seed of wisdom in your mind. Nurture it and it shall grow to share its fruits with the world.

I am an idealist, super independent, generally fun to be around and respectful of other people.

New to Couchsurfing, looking forward to meeting you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a social animal my most cherished memories of places I have been to are directly related to the people I met. Some of the most transformational experiences I went through came through meeting interesting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Big music lover, I have an eclectic tasting in music and an ever growing appetite for it. Acoustic, future soul and electronica seem to feature heavily on my playlists but I also love world music, particularly classical Arabic.

I don't read as much as I'd like to but some of my favourites are: The Unbearable Lightness of Being, This Thing of Darkness, The Psychopath Test and all other Jon Ronson's books + childhood classics such as Jonathan Livingston Seagull, Le Petit Prince, Asterix, the Marvel Comics and the TinTin books.

Documentaries over movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I tend to think everything I've done is pretty standard. People seem to think that going to Burning Man for the first time on my own is pretty extraordinary. I'd like to be able to say, one day, that I made a difference to someone's life or made a real positive change in the world. That would be amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some culinary tricks, especially but not limited to healthy and medicinal cooking, teach you to dance Forro from Brazil, way better than samba :)!

I would love to learn to surf properly, play guitar properly or any other music instrument, learn new languages, learn about your culture, the list is pretty long.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Definitely food. It's a big passion of mine and everyone seem to enjoy my cooking, I cook and eat mainly vegetarian food and have converted many meat lovers to give plant foods a chance.

I also work in holistic wellbeing, so I'm always happy to share tips and advice on how to enhance your health and wellbeing but the best I really like to share is laughter and the dance floor.
