ABOUT ME

My name is Aline i am 24 and from germany.I work as a Fundraiser and Eventmanager for the charity organisation German Bone Marrow Donor Center. We lead the fight to defeat blood cancer by empowering people to take action, give bone marrow and save lives. DKMS is the largest bone marrow donor center in the world. I organise small charity events like a football tournament to raise funds but also big events with the help of german celebrities. We need this money to finance more donors and cure blood cancer patients world wide.

Last year (2011) I studied one semester in San Diego and fell in Love with the US. After the semester I travelled to see the rest of the country!I love to see different things,cities,beaches,nature,food and special things. I love to laugh and people with a good sense of humor...also love to eat good food.

During my spare time in San Diego I volunteered at a non profit animal rescue service called animal lovers aliance. I love animals and spend a lot of time with them!!Cats and dogs are just great friends.
I also worked in a hotel in the guest entertainment section in spain for about a year. So definitely love being around all kinds of people, get to know them better and learn about their ways of life...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed a lot already and loved every time! You get to know so many interesting people who love travelling just as much as I do! I also hosted ..but not so many as I was travelling a lot in the past. But I do think couch surfing is about giving and taking.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed in New Orleans, Panama City, Miami, Jacksonville, Washington D.C., New York City, Chicago and Munich and loved it. Just a great thing to meet the locals and hear their stories about the city. Like this you will see the best spots and I just think it´s a great idea!I have some friends who did it before and they said it was very good! So i tried it and can just share this opinion! While couchsurfing in the US I met a girl who hosted me and became a good friend! She visited me in Spain and we met up again in Berlin! This is a fabolous thing!

I Love to travel and meet interesting people. I also love to dance and do fitness.I actually am a Zumba instructor :-)
