I’m a political scientist with a masters in Human Rights and Citizenship, studying to become a diplomat, but I’m also a world traveler 🌍 I’m very passionated about history, culture, Marxism-Leninism, geopolitics, the global south economies (BRICS), multipolar world and I have a strong ANTI-NATO/anti-Imperialist political position.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am part of the Couchsurfing community since I was a teenager, so it truly became an important part of my life. I always try to be active on the CS platform by organising weekly events and hang outs.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfing pretty much changed my life, because even though I can not always travel around the world, this website connects me with amazing people from many parts of the world. It's like travelling around the world without leaving your city.

I love movies and documentaries and here are some filmmakers I like (random order): Gaspar Noe, Kubrick, Almodovar, Lars Von Trier, Gus Van Saint, Beni­cio del Toro, Carlos Reygadas, Iñárritu, Alfonso Cuarón, José Padilha, Esmir Filho, Arriaga, Michael Moore, Kieslowski, David Fincher, Woody Allen, Richard Linklater, Michael Winterbottom, Tim Burton, David Lynch, Eduardo Coutinho, Walter Carvalho, Vertov etc. Some of my favorite movies so far are: "2001: a space odyssey", "Donnie Darko", "Y tu mamá también", "Detachment" "Waking Life", "Before Sunrise trilogy", Paradise Lost Doc's I, II, III and "Os famosos e os duendes da morte", "Enter the Void", "Mary and Max", etc. In my hometown Belém, we have the oldest Cinema theater still working in Brazil, it's called Cine Olympia.

Some series I like: Daria, The Handmaid's Tale, Black Mirror, Sense 8, The Inbetweeners, How I met your mother, You, Dark, etc.

I'm pretty open minded about music, but what you will find in my playlist right now is early 2000’s pop music for my gym work outs, classical music to listen while walking around the city and Кино, Molchat Doma, Joy Division, Lebanon Hanover, She Past Away, The Smiths, The Cure, Tears for Fears, Héroes del Silencio, Soda Stereo and Terno Rei (some of my favourite bands).

I love literature, reading is definitely one of the things that opened my mind to the world around me. Some of the author I like in a random order: Kierkgaard, Dostoevsky, Bertrand Russell, Gabriel Garci­a Marquez, José Saramago, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Machado de Assis, Alvares de Azevedo, Kafka, Goethe, Jostein Gaarden, Edgar Allan Poe, Jack Kerouac, Maquiavel, Nelson Rodrigues, Milan Kundera, Slavoj Zizek, Michel Houellebecq, etc...
Juli Zeh and Stieg Larsson are my personal writing inspirations.

I consider myself quite a multicultural person, I already have been to multiple countries and I absolutely love diversity! This way, I am open to teach about my culture and other cultural backgrounds that I fell in love with and became part of who I am :) I am also interested in learning different ways of leading a more conscious lifestyle, paying more attention to my own actions towards myself and others, as well as my eating habits and physical/mental health.
