Hey!

My name is Aline, I am 25 years old and I come from the Netherlands. I have just finished my Bachelor in Psychology and I'll start my master in September. In the meantime I am in for some adventure and cultural exchange via couchsurfing and workaway! I'd say that I am a happy and open person overall and interested in other people. I would say that I like to have conversations about, for example, life, culture or language and much more. I like listening to music, mostly the 60s / 70s / 80s. It happens that I spontaneously start singing: P.

I have had some sidejobs over the years. Currently I work in a bakery on saturdays, I am not baking any bread but I sell them. On mondays and wednesdays I help a girl plan her homework. In september I'll start as a swedish for beginners teacher for about 2 hours per week. In the past I have been a student assistant at the university. Next to my side jobs I play squash once or twice a week. I used to play theater but I quit because of corona.

In the academic year 2016/2017 I worked as an Au Pair in Sweden. I looked after a 5-year-old boy, I thought it was very fun to do. I then lived near Stockholm. It was a fantastic year, and I have experienced a lot and got to know nice people through e.g. to study Swedish courses at Folksuniversitetet and by becoming a member of TVM (scouting but less rules). After the Au Pair year, I continued to visit people in Sweden and I joined two hikes with TVM.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This year I am looking forward to a new adventure! I think it's fun to meet new and interesting people and cultures and to get to know new areas. Couchsurfing is a perfect way to do that.

I can cook some Dutch meals, but the Dutch kitchen is not the most exciting one haha
