ABOUT ME

I spend most time in my golden five areas:
art--making it and seeing it; being in the outdoors and all its beauty; sewing and altering clothes; food and all it encompasses; scavenging through consignment shops for treasures.

Traveling and learning are some of the most important things to me and CS is the perfect help to allow me to to allow me to do it.

PHILOSOPHY

I do my best to live in a way that leaves no questions for why I am who I am. I let the experiences I have continually define and improve my in life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Salt Lake may seem like a pit stop on to greater destinations but it's a rad city. I've grown up in it all my life and would love to show anyone around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have traveled a good deal through CS but have had friends get the successful requests so my repertoire is small. I traveled last summer through Europe and loved the insight CS brought to my travels.

Interests

I play, and am a big fan of, tennis and soccer. I ski as much as I can in the winter and climb, hike and camp as frequently as I can in the summer. I am a maker--paintings, drawings, food, clothes. Whatever it is, I love creating.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books are incredible things. To try and list authors sometimes just doesn't give .
I love all sorts of music. Bob Dylan, Fleet Foxes, Alela Diane, Neil Young, Sufjan Stevens, Mariee Sioux, Portishead, Simon and Garfunkel, Andrew Bird, Caribou, A.A. Bondy, Phantogram ...the list could go on...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Art leaves me awestruck. I've stood before works of the world's greatest creative minds. Rothko, Goya, Hirst, Caravaggio, Picaso, Cezanne, Monet, Dali, Cassat, Gentileschi [on and on]--artists are a wonder to the world.

I hiked the Swiss Alps to the Matterhorn only to see a rocky base with a thick wall of fog covering the peak--of course, it was worth all the same.
