About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get my bicycle back from the thief.

ABOUT ME

I am an MA in Ancient Culture and Languages. I did my BS in Fluid Mechanics but I don't consider myself an engineer.

I'd like to visit different places and people around the world. I'm into literature and photography, but I'm amateur in both. I write short stories and I have published a collection of short stories (in Farsi). My photos have appeared in Spot Literary Magazine and Foliate Oak Literary Journal. I have also translated three collections of short stories: "Coup de Grace" by Ambrose Bierce, "Revenge of the Lawn" by Richard Brautigan and "Texts for Nothing" by Samuel Beckett, winner of the Nobel Prize for literature in 1969. I got admitted to the MFA Creative Writing Program at Florida State University, but couldn't attend since the offer was unfunded.

I would also like to see and help around people who intend to visit my living place.

I also practice amateur photography. My photos have appeared in the Spot Literary Magazine, Foliate Oak Literary Journal and The Battered Suitcase.

I run a website and a weblog: the website (Paragraphiti) is dedicated to world fiction and poetry with the aim of bringing the best of contemporary literature to an English-speaking audience. (http://paragraphiti.com/)

The second is my photoblog. You can find it here: http://photographiti.wordpress.com/

Music, Movies, and Books

The list would be too long. However Emir Kusturica, Gus Van Sant and especially Tim Burton are among my favorite directors.
I listen to, and enjoy, various types of music. I love Tom Waits.
I'd rather not talk about books. I live through books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Okay, I don't have a good memory, but so far I guess the most amazing thing I have done is the website that I founded (http://paragraphiti.com).
