Overview
About Me
Hello, my name is Alise. I am a fun, positive, caring, and perseverant person.
I am originally from Long Beach, California, but I lived from 2015-2018 in Barcelona. The last year of my time in Barcelona consisted of doing a master's degree in International Relations and Development. Since July 2018 I have been living in Nairobi, where I am working in communications at a place called Kenya Climate Innovation Center.
I care too much about the problems in the world. I love hip hop music. I write spoken word poetry. When I am not studying, I like to go to cultural events and open mic nights, dance (especially belly dance, African, hip hop, salsa, bachata, getting low in da club...), go to the beach, walk around the city, do yoga (I'm a former yoga teacher), and of course travel.

Music, Movies, and Books
I LOVE hip hop music- especially older stuff as well as more "underground" contemporary hip hop.
I like movies that aren't scary.
I used to be a literature nerd but nowadays only read academic stuff :(
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once was in the South of France and spontaneously went to Italy for an hour. I went to the beach, met some really cool people, and watched the sunset with them. It was a very beautiful moment.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you yoga, dance, English, or Spanish.
I'd like to practice mon français avec toi, pero j'ai oublié beaucoup hehe.
