About Me

Hi! I'm a biology student currently studying in Poznań for one semester, but I'm actually from Germany, where I started studying in Berlin last year. Right now I'm mostly looking forward to travelling to all those Polish cities I've never been to before, and hopefully improve my Polish skills, which have seriously suffered since I last had Polish classes in school.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first discovered Cs during my volunteer service in India and just found it incredibly amazing to meet up with so many different people, explore their cities and chat just about everything and anything. I surely wouldn't have had such an amazing time travelling around if it hadn't been for the people I met through Cs.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't usually listen to music that much, but I am currently having a phase where I just listen to the same few musical soundtracks on repeat. That's what happens when you don't have any new audiobooks to pass the time with;).
As for books, I mostly read anything from the fantasy genre - if I'm honest, often just a chosen few over and over again, I mean, they're my favourites for a reason after all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Chasing after that one crow that tried to steal our cookies on the beach. It was a truly glorious battle.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you boil sunchokes and then let the cooking water sit for some times, it will for some reason turn a really dark green, and if you add something acidic or basic, you can change the colour back an forth, just like with red cabbage.
