ABOUT ME

My life is basically divided in two: when I'm alone and when I'm surrounded by people. When I'm alone I'm usually doing many activities that make me feel good, such as: listening to music, reading, surfing on the internet, swimming, starring at the walls :), dancing in my room, walking... and most of the time spent with myself is also thinking about my bunch of imaginary problems, sometimes many stupid tasks, sometimes existential issues, sometimes just daydreaming. When I'm surrounded by people I'm trying to fullfil their expectations; be a good sister, dauther, friend, girlfriend, mate, be updated with everything, be cool, be relaxed, be funny, be liked, be helpful, be understanding, be patient, be strong, be joyful, be powerful, be daring...sometimes it's just bullshit, sometimes I really manage to be great, over the expectations :))
In fact I want be smart and good to people, do something little, but meaningful, for this big world, and have a good balance in my life...I guess that's happiness to me :)

PHILOSOPHY

I guess we might have just one life to live so maybe we should try our best. Life means choices and choices all the time...I think every choice made today changes somehow my tomorow so I'm trying to choose the best or to let the best choose me :P
I cannot tolerate intolerance. I am anti-fascist, anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-classist, anti-ageist, anti-ableist, anti-homophobic, anti-transphobic, anti-patriarchal, and against all other forms of oppression.
But, I know things aren't just black and white. I don't underestimate the complexity of human kind. I think it's important to be always open to dialogue, I want to be able to talk to people who have different opinions, than mine, be able to debate, to exercise critical thinking, open up, learn to be a better person.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed in many houses, met wonderful people, I hosted some people in Bucharest and I'm always happy to meet, and learn from/about people. It's a great chance to open up and fight against selfsuficiency!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have good experience as a surfer, I was hosted by some wonderful couchsurfers and I met some great couchsurfers who showed me around in many countries, from Uzbekistan to Iceland and I'm very thankful for that. I'm hosting people together with my boyfriend, I want to host as much as can, when I can...and I hope to have a bigger house one day, cause one room is very limited :)

Movies:
The constant gardener, Dogville, In the mood for love, The Usual Suspects, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Noi Albinoi, Trainspotting, White cat - Black cat, Cache... and sooo many other... I'm very much into documentaries now and the list is loooong.
Music.I used to listen a lot:

100 Years of solitude (Marquez), The Master and Margaret (Bulgakov), The Winter of Our Discontent (Steinbeck), Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, A Wild Sheep Chase, Dance Dance Dance (Murakami), Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter (Llosa), The Unbearable Lightness of Being (Kundera), The Reader (Schlink), A Million Little Pieces (J. Frey), Once Upon the River Love (Makine), The little prince (A. de Saint-Exupery). Autors like Anna Politkovskaia, Mihail Sebastian, Ilf and Petrov, Oliver Sachs, Philip Roth and I always discover new. Books are also never-ending :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every travel is an amazing experience to me... something I will never forget is eating at Blackout Restaurant, part of Nalaga'at Center in Jaffa. A restaurant completely sunk in darkness, where the waiter are blind and they serve and guide the 'all of a sudden so vulnerable' customers, through the darkness. I couldn't distinguish anything, I ate with my hands because using fork and knife without seeing them, looked impossible. Everything seemed so noisy, I was so unsecure and the only person I could trust and who could comfort me, was the blind waiter, who seemed to be the only one, who could actually see, in that total darkness...
