我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am a graduate student at the University of Memphis and have been awarded the opportunity to conduct a research project in Catania, Sicily this summer. Following the project, I plan to stay in southern Italy for a few weeks (July 4th- July 19th). My great-grandparent immigrated to the U.S. from Naples and Calabria, and have unfortunately lost family members still living in Italy over the years. I want to take this opportunity to be immersed in Italian culture and truly learn about the place of my ancestry. I love to meet new people and have new experiences. I am hoping to meet friendly locals that would like to show me their favorite parts of their city and to have fun with while I am visiting!
