Hello my names Alison & I am 28. I come from the U.K. from a small town called Barrow-In-Furness in Cumbria (North England) near to the Lake District. I have also lived in Leeds and Manchester for several years and will go back to Manchester after travelling.

I am currently on a 11 month travel trip which I started in December. I spent two months in India and one month in South Africa before heading to South America. I will have travelled for 7 months with my friend Anna and we have done some couchsurfing on our trips (references under her name). Anna will go home in July and I will then carry on with my other friend Jodie for the rest of my trip to Columbia, Mexico, Las Vegas, L.A & Hawaii. She is also from the U.K. Manchester.

I would describe myself in 3 words as friendly, honest, and caring and hope to meet some more amazing people through using this app! I am passionate about learning new things and meeting new people from different backgrounds and cultures. Aside from my job as a social worker I feel the best way to do this is through travelling. I am lucky to have had an amazing 6 months so far and have met some incredible people in hostels and out and about. I’m fairly new to couch surfing and feel its a great way to meet new people from all walks of life!

Music - is one thing I could not live without! I like all kinds of music from indie to rnb to rap to reggae. My favourite band is bloc party but some other artists I love are florence & the machine, foals, jungle, jhene aiko, banks, deluxe, the internet. I also love festivals my favourite being Glastonbury. I have just booked to go to life is beautiful which will be a new one for me and burning man is also on my list to go too.
