ABOUT ME

Hello, I'm a relaxed and easygoing artist, yogi and surf enthusiast (with a spare surfboard if you fancy joining?) I'm currently living and working in Cardiff, the lovely green capital of Wales but I am from northern England and grew up near The Lake District National Park in Cumbria.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking for people who like walking, hiking and waterfalls so we can explore south Wales together. I would also like to meet surf buddies for the summer months. I love checking out independent cafes and veggie places and exploring cities too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

2 nights in Narbonne, France. Met some really good Spanish, Polish and French people in Cardiff to meet up and share stories and dreams. Brilliant, fun and inspiring people are on this site.

Interests

Yoga, surfing, walking, hiking, sight-seeing, live music, dancing, lindy-hop, rock music, acoustic guitar, coffee and cake, pub quizzes, anything creative, eco-friendly living, golf (mis-spent youth), pool (see previous bracket), films (nothing really gruesome or paranormal that scares me to death though), reading something inspiring. I love the Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones series, and I have a soft spot for Battenburg cake and mushrooms - the non-magic variety!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snorkelling and first time surfing in Hawaii, Trekking through the Blue Mountains near Sydney Oz in a storm, meditating on a cliff edge in the Grampian Mountains, Oz, spotting the peak of Mount Fuji above the clouds in Japan, Skydiving over the Lake District in northern England and too many more to list. I'm always up for an adventure :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you how to make something from clay in my studio, perhaps show you some yoga postures and meditations, give you a Reiki treatment and share my novice surf skills (with bags of enthusiasm)!
I would like to learn about different cultures, ways of life, music, film and creative interests. I also would love to improve in yoga, surfing and lindy-hop and learn how to snowboard some day!
