About Me

Recently finished graduate school and received a Master's in Education, certification in Elementary School (primary level students). I will be teaching English in France at the primary level next year- I can't wait to meet my new students, continue to develop my French language skills and travel (while meeting awesome people along the way!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm currently working on climbing all of the 4,000 footer mountains in New Hampshire, USA!

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe that as an educator, learners I come into contact with can be empowered to create their own understanding of a topic, an idea, the world through multiple ways of teaching, explaining, promoting knowledge amongst learners. It's not a one-way street; individuals are most motivated to learn when the teacher provides them the opportunities to create their own understanding and find this knowledge on their own. Hands-on & inter-disciplinary experiences, traveling to a new place, experimenting, questioning, using visual arts & movement and pursuing individual interests are the best ways to learn. I hope to instill this not only in my future students, but to help others learn about themselves and create understandings upon meeting by lending a listening ear and sharing my experiences to open up somebody else's mind.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am very organized and helpful around a house or apartment with cleaning! I love cooking (and wouldn't mind cooking a meal or two when staying somewhere), learning and sharing experiences-- especially with other people from around the world! I'm very interested in sharing stories and connecting with others, for just a night's stay or for a lifetime!
