Overview
About Me
Back in South Africa after taking a year to travel to South America.I met some amazing people, learned Spanish (to a passable level🤣) and now have friends and 'family' for life☺ These days I work online ( full time) for an adventure travel company. I live in George (in the garden route) and spend my free time hiking in the forests & mountains. On weekends I like to take a mini-road trip or visit friends
I'm outgoing but also easygoing. Absolutely crazy about nature and love meeting new people from around the world. I have a spare room (which is also my office) and also a comfy couch. It's a work in progress but I can potentially accept surfers
Please feel free to ask questions, it's hard to know someone from a profile.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been blown away by the kindness and spirit of the Couchsurfing community. I joined to get a more authentic experience of the areas I travel to and am excited to continue to meet people from all over the globe and hopefully return the favour.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've led a privileged life where I have done many amazing things.
I have been part of catching and moving lions and buffalos (which is pretty unique to Africa!)
I recently travelled solo through most of South America which was definitely something amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love eating and discovering local markets and street food. If you visit, I'll introduce you to Biltong and Milktart😉
I'm also a big fan of wine. We have an amazing wine industry in South Africa and I take any opportunity possible to visit farms, learn about winemaking and (of course) do tastings. If you like running or hiking, we will get along great.
I live in a fairly calm town and not a big party-goer. Enjoy going out for a drink or meal occasionally but generally enjoy a more laid-back vibe at home.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My sense of humour, okay cooking skills and loads of stories from life in Africa. I can teach you a few unique South African phrases and expressions.
