At the moment I'm in a travelling stage of life and am enjoying life on the road in New Zealand. Although usually based in Canada, I have also lived in South Africa and Lesotho. I enjoy hiking, scuba diving, drinking good coffee and wine, and generally being active. I used to play a lot of different sports but am finding new ways to be on the move. As a guest, I am respectful, tidy and try to not to take up too much space. I am adaptable and independent, though I like chatting with new people and getting to know more about a place than just what's in a guide book.

I love most types of music from hip hop to country to classical. My mood can really determine what I listen to or what I listen to can determine my mood. Favourites include The Roots, The East Pointers, Boy and Bear, Neko Case, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Dolly Parton, Erykah Badu.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driven two hours from Ottawa after a long day of work to see the South African band Freshly Ground in concert in Montreal and back again that same night. It involved napping on the highway but a lot of singing and smiles.
