ABOUT ME

I'm currently working on my PhD in the archaeology of the ancient Mediterranean at the University of Cincinnati. I have researched and/or excavated in Italy, Albania, Greece, and Turkey, and have the amazing opportunity to go abroad every summer to do what I love, travel, and meet amazing people.

A total foodie, I love spending my free time working in my vegetable garden, cooking, home brewing kombucha, and trying new restaurants. I also love being outdoors, especially in the summer, hiking or sipping iced coffee on porch. While I love staying active and meeting new people, there's also nothing like a quiet night at home, cooking up something delicious, drinking wine, and cuddling on the couch.

I dedicated four years of my life to competitive roller derby, but I recently retired so that I could deepen my yoga practice. I'm currently in 300hr Yoga Teacher Training program through World Peace Yoga, and would love to lead my hosts through a yoga class, if they so desired! Because of my dedication to my yoga practice, a lead an ahimsic (non-harming) lifestyle through a vegan diet. I love connecting with other vegans!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

My former partner and I had a great time couch surfing while we were living in Europe in 2012-2013. At that time, we were using her profile jointly, which is why I have so few reviews.

I'm going to be based in Athens, Greece in 2015-2016 in a dorm-like environment, working on my dissertation and traveling, so at this time I am unable to host others. I am looking forward to connecting with other couchsurfers either in my travels or just meeting up in Athens for a drink.
