Overview
About Me
I like to host a surfer about once a quarter in PDX. I'll probably reach out to you via your public trip post if I think we would get along from what you have written on your profile, your previous CS experiences were positive and you're looking for a host 1 or 2 nights and I am available to spend the evening with you. If for some reason you really think we would get along reach out to me and I'll see if I'm available to host you. I like to book a guest around 2 weeks out from the date they plan on being here.
CURRENT MISSION
ride a bike as my primary mode of transport, maybe learn Spanish. Live and work in BC - Canadians, hit me up.
ABOUT ME
Hello, Hi, How are you?
I have traveled but not nearly enough, I'll always be in transit moving around getting to anyone who is willing to get to know me. I have met many people who are very important to me by chance alone. Having friendships all around the world is something I value. My friends and family are very important to me, even if we don't talk for a while.
PHILOSOPHY
learn from your own mistakes. Rule nothing out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was regular host in Madison WI, I have taken people to the protests at the State Capitol during the Governor Walker upheaval. I have walked guests all across the town, I have shared many a cigarette (I loved sharing cigarettes), I have taken people to concerts, left them to their own devices, provided beds and floors, hosted bands of musicians, given up my porch couch to the homeless, cooked breakfast for many, shared my story and heard many others, met my former room mate here, found comfort in strangers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
while it's easier to host I find I have more fun going around a new town with a local getting to know them and seeing their secret spots. I have slept under a dining room table alongside friends and mice. I would much rather be in a gross place than spend a bunch of money to be bored in a "clean" hotel. BUT I am a very clean person and I will gladly summit any mountain of dishes. I really like to help out with cooking and cleaning- I would rather go out and buy ingredients and make you dinner (but I so would prefer to cook with you) than go to dinner with you and pay for it. I am particular in my ways but open to other systems and take bits and pieces from everyone I meet and live the ideal way for me. I am not stuck in my ways.
