About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To hit the road.

ABOUT ME

Not so easy... Well, to begin, I would say that I've lived in Paris since september 2011 to study Philosophy and Art history (two subjects which really interest me, especially architecture), and this city, full of surprises, can't help moving ! I like it, really. But, before Paris, I lived in Nantes, and then I went to Bordeaux to study litterature (another subject which interests me greatly).

Concerning my personality, I often feel the need to travel with my backpack, alone or with a friend, it depends. That's why I could say I really like talking, discovering new things and spending time with people, and sometimes I also need to be alone, going for a long walk or reading in a café.

I have also to mention Iceland : I have a liking for this country. I've ever been twice in Iceland, &, wow ! From now on, I'd like to go back to this country and also spend time with Icelandic people (hopefully). But, of course, I'm curious to discover other countries (especially the Usa): so many places to go, & so many persons to meet. "Travelling" is the word I prefer.

PHILOSOPHY

I need to hit the road, but sometimes I also need to settle down, especially since I feel fine in Paris. So I could give two words : curiosity and lucidity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really like hosting people : most of the time they are traveling and have many stories to tell. Consequently, when I host someone, it's a very special atmosphere, surely the one I prefere, the travelling atmosphere.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted Elizabeth and Charles, who are lovely persons. I've also been in Norway with a friend, Estelle, and two families - Arne and Ole - have been very kind to us. It was also an amazing experience with Ole's family, since they live in a beautiful place, among fjords, and, with Estelle, we were discovering progressively this place, being surprised every time we were taking a bend : we had never supposed that a such landscape could exist.

Interests

I can't help writting (and also reading) & photographing. But I also need to be with my friends, to discover Paris (all kind of places, but also architectural complex, art gallery, café, concerts, bookshops & so on).

Music, Movies, and Books

French literature, but also American and English books : Virginia Woolf, Carson McCullers, F. Scott Fitzgerald... I would say I like all kinds of musics, and today, for instance, my background music is Bessie Smith.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time I left France to go to Iceland. All alone at the airport, with no idea of what the future might hold.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could show you "my" Paris, places I really like : my favorite café is not so far away from Montmartre, La Flèche d'Or is a very nice concert hall and Jeu de Paume is the art gallery I prefer.

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States
