ABOUT ME

I have constant itchy feet. I like to get up early in the morning and then squeeze as much fun, adventure and excitement into my day before going to bed late. With my limited time I want to be able to see and experience as much as possible. I am creative, but also analytical and intellectual. I enjoy meeting new people, hearing their stories and learning as much as I can from them.

Life for me is about nature and people - fun and experience naturally accompany both of these. I work as a geologist in remote areas of Australia and am often away from home. When I'm not out looking at rocks I pass the time diving, hiking and climbing. I'm a very keen diver, working as a dive guide for my local dive store when I'm available. Am keen to meet other divers (I can introduce you to temperate water diving in Sydney) and climbers (we can do some sport climbing in local areas if keen).

Spreading the word to friends. Hosting travellers and being hosted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Fairly new to the practical side of organised couch surfing, I have now surfed in Tasmania and New Zealand.
Many years of couchsurfing on friends couches. Surfed my way around America (passing through 28 different states) on known friends couches...occasionally missing train connections and staying with complete strangers.

Interests

Scuba diving, hiking, rock climbing. Challenging my mind and body to break past the point of exhaustion. Mountains, rivers, oceans. On a mission to become strong enough to summit Everest by the age of 35.
