About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a travel junkie. For every country I visit, I add five more to the list. It's a never-ending journey.

I love astrology, which might sound vapid to some people, but I find a lot of myself in my birth natal chart. I think it's an interesting idea that the solar system has such an impact on our demeanor.

If there's one thing I believe, it's that we are all connected-- in our genetics and at a molecular level and that our similarities are much more powerful than our differences.

PHILOSOPHY

Que sera sera.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To subvert the Federal Reserve Bank's economic, numerical enslavement of us Americans. My monetary transactions consist of time (giving and receiving it)-- the only true currency. ;)

Interests

Glassblowing. It's what I do.

  • traveling
  • genealogy

Music, Movies, and Books

I love documentaries! I think I absorb their information easier because I'm a visual learner. I also enjoy Film Noir. :)

My music interests are so far and wide spread that they can only be summed up with the term "nomadic."

Currently I'm reading Gloria Steinem's "Outrageous Acts and Everyday Rebellions" because I'm really into civil politics. Plus I met her when I drove up to Minneapolis this year, so she's a huge hero in my book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most magical moments I've ever witnessed was at Uluru in Australia last year. We had camped overnight and woke up at 3 am to see the sunrise illuminate this beautiful aboriginal landmark but it was rainy and bleak for the 4 hours we were waiting. We were miserable. Anyway, just as the sun peaked on the horizon, the rain stopped and the light revealed a double rainbow over this amazing rock and all the tour guides were taking pictures because this was by far the most beautiful sunrise they had ever seen in the Outback. It blew my mind.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, Cayman Islands, France, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Monaco
