About Me

Hello hello! My name's Alison and I'm a relaxed and positive person. I tend to see the good in situations and people. I am interested in learning. I don't get bored... I thought I was bored one time, but I was mistaken.

I am most at home outside in nature, in water, and in libraries. I love to be with people too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've surfed in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, France, Israel and Ukraine. Most of my best traveling days are because of couchsurfing; it's been just fantastic!

Interests

canoeing, trees, spirituality, ecopsychology, forest bathing, sending postcards, writing.

If you end up hosting me, or being hosted, I eat vegan and I'm happy to share! My partner Alexis is a youtuber - check out Stump Kitchen :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a proud kid of the Harry Potter Generation. I love to always have a Number 1 Ladies Detective Agency on the go.

I don't watch much tv or many movies but I have chosen favourites nonetheless! My favourite movie is War of the Buttons and Trailer Park Boys my favourite tv show. I've been watching lots of Poirot lately.

As for music... Lorde, Frightened Rabbit, Hozier, Mother Mother, Mumford and Sons, Edward Sharpe, Florence, Le Markhor, Stars, and more; always Tegan and Sara.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Working at summer camps has been one of the most amazing things in my life.

I canoed alone for one moon (28 days) from Edmonton, Alberta to my hometown of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to draw and walk a labyrinth, and how to identify many Boreal forest plants, especially the trees. I have a lot of 2SLGBTQ+ knowledge.

I'd love to learn how to harvest wild plants and mushrooms.

I can show you around this area and give you ideas about what to do here!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, England, Guatemala, Honduras, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Lesotho, Mexico, Mozambique, New Zealand, Palestine, Poland, Scotland, South Africa, Swaziland, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States
