About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world, meet new cultures, new faces and experience life is a special way.

ABOUT ME

Im outgoing, independant and open minded. I am a Gemini so I have a few sides---calm and chill yet at other times ready to throw down and have some fun. I like to engage in conversation and learn from other people's stories and experiences. I also have some crazy stories myself and love to share them. Staying in and cooking for friends or going out and partying like its 1999 are things I enjoy doing. I am a very giving person and would do anything for my friends. I love a good laugh and I can be sarcastic at times, and if you are cool with that, we will get along great!

PHILOSOPHY

"Without new experiences, something insides us sleeps. The sleeper must awaken." by Frank Herbert

"The world is a book and those who do not travel only read one
page" by St. Augustine

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couch surfed for the first time last summer and have hosted many times.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Many summers ago, I had plans with a friend to travel England. At the last minute she backed out. I knew I could not afford the trip solo, so I explored other options. I had heard really good things about couch surfing so I decided to give it a go. My first couch surfing experience was out of this world goooooooooooood! I stayed in a squat in London with about 30 other people-- some who lived there and some who were just surfers. The 7+ days there were some of the most memorable of my life. Wow I had so much fun!!I And I learned so much from each and every person I met there. I gained a whole new perspective about life. I look back onto that experince and feel so grateful and humbled by each and every day. I grew as a person which is priceless. After leaving London every host I had in each city was lovely. My hosts were awesome!! I am now ready to give back what I gained while there--I am hosting. I cant wait to gain new friends and new experiences all over again.

Interests

I love to travel! It is who I am and will always be. Although I studied Nutrition while in college, after graduating I went to culinary school and was a chef for 8 years. Because I wanted to live abroad, I decided to teach to make this goal happen. I spend my time at my teaxhing chikdren healthy cooking classes mostly ages 4-10 in Thailand as well as having fun with friends, cooking, practicing yoga, Muay Thai, sunbathing and swimming.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy any movie that makes me laugh. Not a fan of horror films. Trance music is some of my favorite, yet I enjoy house and electronic as well. You can take the girl outta Texas but you can't take Texas out of the girl. Yep, I still listen to country music from time to time. But dont worry, if you are not a fan, we wont listen to it when you are here, lol. To be honest, I only read books when someone loans me one. I dont have a favorite, although any books that is on food and cooking I am totally into. If you have any old books you dont want, I am happy to take them off your hands. I want to learn and grow more in the area of my life. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
