About Me

My husband, Ryne, and I got married in August of 2016. Since then we've been saving for an adventure in Europe and the time has finally come. We will be leaving for a backpacking trip around Europe at the end of September. We hope to use CS quite a bit while we are there to meet people and experience the life of people that live in the places. It's obvious that I've written much of the profile but Ryne and I use this account equally. It's much easier for us to just use one account since we're always together anyways!

I'm pretty easy going. I have a lot of siblings. I like reading and hiking and writing and swimming. I was a competitive swimmer for 6 years. I love water! I haven't been to many places. Canada a couple times and Mexico a couple times. But the list of places I've been is going to lengthen dramatically in the next 6 months! I especially enjoy a good intellectual conversation about life or religion. Although I'm afraid of politics. I like learning from people. There's a lot I don't know and I like hearing about what I don't know. When we get back to the states after our 6 months of travel I will go back to school to get my bachelors in psychology. After that I'll hopefully go on to get my masters in counseling.
Ryne is 24 years old. He loves reading, writing, history, sports, art, traveling, hiking, biking, anything outside really. He loves his family. We have 2 nieces that we love dearly! He's very easy going, flexible and clean. He is one of the kindest people I know.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Ryne and I are hoping to find people to make friends with and some help along the way in our adventure!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love anything by C.S. Lewis. I, of course, grew up listening to my mom read Narnia to my siblings and I. I'm slowly collecting all of his books as time goes on. Another favorite of his is Screwtape Letters. And The Weight of Glory. And all the other ones. I love Lord of the Rings. And Harry Potter. And all the lesser known books inbetween.
I don't watch a lot of movies, but The Secret Life of Walter Mitty makes me want to travel and be all brave and stuff, so I'd call that a favorite.
I love all music. All the good stuff with good lyrics and good feels. What really gets me is when it's just good poetry AND it's put with instruments.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing I'm going to do is traveling Europe. But I haven't done that yet.
I have climbed a few mountains. Not Everest or anything. But a couple tall ones!
