ABOUT ME

i'm a student, i'm a mother. those are probably the two most defining facts about my life, but not necessarily me. i love to party, but i love to chill. i love to talk, but i also love silence. i love to cook, but i'm not super good at it. i live in a beautiful town in northern california. i am lucky to say that i have found both peace and extacsy among the ancient redwoods, always with the roar of the pacific ocean in my ears. i love where i come from, but i am excited to see where i'll go.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

just recently found out about couchsurfers from a totally awesome encounter in montpellier, where i am currently staying. convenient because right now i am looking for couches in paris and possibly london as all my plans have fallen through. i have hosted travellers before, but never through cs, just friends of friends. looking forward to participating and meeting new people

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

last summer I took myself to France without any friends or definite stay arrangements. Couchsurfing took care of both for me. I met some really wonderful people AND found a place to stay in Paris in July. (Thanks Alex!) Now it is my turn to return the favor.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

i don't have a televison, my musical interests are scattered, and i will read anything! my favorite authurs are salman rushdie, ian mcewan, jumpha lahiri, jane austen, j.d salinger. i am currently undertaking harry potter in french.

it is hard for me to say who my favorite musical artists are, because it often depends on my mood, but according to my ipod top 25 most played songs, my favorites include beirut, bat for lashes, morrissey, the knife, jens lekmen, elliott smith, cat power, feist, the gorillaz, old crow medicine show, bon iver and the cure. one of my dearest friends was in a seattle screamo band, so i can pretty much rock out to anything

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

i've seen and done a lot of amazing things, but the most amazing don't translate too well to the written word. that's pretty vague, i know, but it's true. if you must have something more concrete, i've chased a tornado before. that was pretty cool.
