I enjoy travelling and meeting new people, learning languages and visiting new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting local people in the cities I visit and seeing what it's like to live there. I also like any opportunities to practice French, German, Spanish, Italian and to speak Greek as well. I'm currently slowly learning Arabic.

Interests

Films, TV, football and especially going to matches (I support Liverpool Fc, Bristol City Fc, Rangers Fc), literature, travelling, scuba diving, history, learning languages, boxing and mma, darts, golf, snooker.

A lot of different types of music, music from all over the world, classical, electronic, psychedelic.
As for literature I like French literature, Balzac, Stendhal etc. Russian such as Dostoyevsky, Gogol, Tolstoy. Spanish like Don quixote, etc. I'm learning about Latin American literature at the moment, Miguel Asturias is my favourite so far. I'm starting reading more African literature too, started with Ousmane Sembene and Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o. Naguib Mahfouz's Cairo Trilogy and Pather Pancali and Apurajito by Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay are also favourite books of mine.
I also like history a lot as well, I'm reading a lot of medieval history at the moment and I'm interested mainly in the history of the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and the Balkans. I'm also interested in Ancient History.
Favourite TV shows are the Sopranos, Gomorrah, the Wire, Breaking Bad, the Simpsons (not the newer episodes), Peep Show, the Office UK, Silicon Valley, King of the Hill.
