About Me
What can I say, I'm a world travelling IT nerd! I grew up in London, and have lived there most of my life (I left for 4 years to live in Brighton while I was at uni) and left the UK with my partner Jen in January 2015 to go and see the world!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's more interesting and meaningful than paying out for a bunk in a hostel, it's based a lot more upon the people you can meet and the experiences you can have than airbnb (which has become all about how much you can charge for your spare room!) and is a great way to really see a city or a new place
Interests
music, video games, television, all the usuals! I'm also into my travel (if you hadn't guessed!) and love going to and exploring new places, meeting the people, seeing the more authentic side of things instead of just focusing on the tourist aspects, and trying new things!

Music, Movies, and Books
music is a tough one, I have years worth of various genres collected onto my ipod, I think I'm going to be lost when it finally dies (it's getting on a bit now) and my favourite changes frequently, depending on my mood, but everything from heavy metal to funk to hiphop to pop and everything in between!
Movies is a trickier one, I don't really watch many movies, but when I do I love comedies like zoolander and anchorman, sci-fis like blade runner and district 9, but I'm open to anything, if I haven't seen it, i'll give it a watch. I will admit i'm not massive on musicals though...
My favourite book series is probably Terry Pratchett's discworld, but I've also recently read my way through a song of ice and fire, the martian, American sniper, world war Z and the hobbit (i'm working on getting through Lord of the rings too!). I take my kindle with me everywhere I go, it's a godsend!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
oh so quitting my job, leaving my possessions behind and going to the other side of the world isn't enough for you eh couchsurfing.com? fine fine, well, um, I climbed a mountain temple in Thailand that was a staircase of literally 1200 stairs, in 37 degree heat, that was pretty amazing. Oh I also won one of those UFO catcher games on my first go once
What I Can Share with Hosts
company, food, conversation, boozes? I'll bring myself, a laidback and open attitude and be looking to have a fun new different experience!
