Names Alistair, (but call me Ali!). I am a recently qualified Engineer, fortunate enough to have the chance to travel/backpack throughout Asia. I managed to reach Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore and hit Portugal on the way home. I am aiming to see as much of the world, meet as many new people, and experience as many different cultures as possible...ideally for as long as possible!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend and I departed England on a backpacking trip in SE Asia. Starting in Cambodia, we headed through Vietnam, across to Thailand - at which point he was forced to return home - continuing solo to travel through Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia and Singapore. We both loved this area and it has encouraged me to see as much of the world as possible, & living with locals seems an ideal way to do it!
