About Me

Buenas!

My name is Alistair and I am a New Zealander that is currently travelling the world for a Year. In 2023 I decided to quit my Sales job to follow my passion as a photographer around the world. I am travelling through Asia, Europe and South America.

I have previously lived in New zealand , Uruguay and Canada growing up and can speaking both English and Spanish fluently plus I love learning new languages.

I love football, photography, hiking, snowboarding, biking and tennis. So if any of those things interest you then that's even better. I love meeting new people however and am interested in doing any activities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to get a local experience from ever citt that I visit while on my travels. This allows me to learn much more about the city culture and people but also allows me to practice the local language.

I am a social person and always love to have a chat and learn about your life where you live.

Teach, Learn, Share

Although its always hard to learn or teach something in a few days I am a huge fan of language exchange! I am happy to help with anybody wanting to learn english or spanish and I would also love to practice my portugese as i am planning to travel through brazil.

I am always interested in trying new sports or activities so if you have a hobby I have never done I would love to try it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can practice my cooking skills and make dinner for us! If you need any professional photos I can help with that!
Like yourself, I'm sure we have many travel stories and advice that we can share for each other. For those people who have never been to New Zealand, I can help write you all the best spots you need to visit (popular and local secret gems) and love to great a travel guide for my beautiful country.

When I return to New Zealand I plan to be a host in the future so I can give back to all those people that have been generous enough to let me in.
